Privacy Policy

How City SC East County collects, uses and protects the information families share with us. Last updated October 28, 2026.

City SC East County (“we”, “us”, “the club”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth soccer club serving El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Lakeside, Spring Valley, Lemon Grove, Alpine, Jamul and Tierrasanta. This policy explains what information we collect through citysceastcounty.com (the “site”) and through club registration, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use a form on this site (the contact form, the Rec League notify-me form, or a request to share a family story) we receive what you type: typically your name, email address, phone number if you add it, your player’s birth year and the program you are interested in. Form submissions are emailed to the club and handled by our staff.

Registration information. Tryout and season registration is completed on our City SC registration platform at citysceastcounty.wearecitysc.com, and schedules and team communication run through the City SC 360 app. Those services collect the information needed to register and roster a player: parent or guardian contact details, player name and date of birth, emergency contacts, medical notes you choose to provide, and payment details. Payment information is processed by the platform’s payment provider and is never stored on this site. The platform’s own privacy policy governs that data alongside this one.

Donations and store purchases. Donations are processed by our giving platform and fan gear orders by our online store partner (checkoutstores.com). Each collects the information needed to complete your transaction under its own privacy policy. This site does not receive your card details.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the site may collect standard technical information when you visit: your device type, browser, approximate location, the pages you view and how you reached us. We may use website analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Our site also embeds content from Instagram and Facebook (our social feed and share features) and a translation tool; those services may set their own cookies when the content loads.

Children’s information

Our players are children, and we take that seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this site. Player information is provided by a parent or legal guardian during registration, and parents control it through their account. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, email us and we will delete it.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to register and roster players, run tryouts and seasons, communicate schedules and club news to families, answer your questions, let you know when registration opens if you asked us to, process donations and purchases, keep players safe, meet our obligations as a non-profit and to our leagues and governing bodies, and improve the site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the club: with our coaches and team managers for the teams your player is on; with the City SC registration platform and 360 app; with the leagues, tournaments and governing bodies we compete in, which require player rosters; with our payment, donation and store providers to complete transactions; and with service providers that host our website or send our email. We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect the safety of a player or family.

Photos and video

We take photos and video at training, games and club events for use on this site, our social media and club materials. If you prefer your player not be featured, email us at any time and we will honor it.

Cookies and your choices

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies; the site will still work, though some embedded content may not display. Email we send about schedules and registration is part of club membership; promotional email includes an unsubscribe link. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you or your player by emailing info@citysceastcounty.com. We will respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept for the length of a season or as required by our leagues, insurers and non-profit obligations.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including limiting access to the staff and volunteers who need it. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive medical or financial details through the contact form; use the registration platform or call us instead. We keep registration records for as long as a player is with the club and for the period our leagues and insurers require, then delete or anonymize them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be shared with registered families by email or through the City SC 360 app.
