A. City SC East County will begin operations and player programming in December 2025.
Q. What communities will City SC East County serve?
A. The club will serve the East County communities of Santee, El Cajon, La Mesa, and Tierrasanta.
Q. Who will lead the club?
A. Scott Alexander has been appointed Club Director. He will oversee day-to-day operations, coach development, and implementation of City SC’s player-first curriculum throughout the East County region.
Q. How will City SC work in the Tierrasanta region?
A. Teams from Tierrasanta, previously competing with Gremio FC, will join City SC East County. Training locations for these teams will continue to be in Tierrasanta, with local fields and local coaches. Players will now have access to a bigger reach and a more complete player development pathway through City SC.
Q. Will training locations remain the same?
A. Current fields will remain in use, with additional fields added as the club expands. Specific field assignments will be communicated by the club to individual teams.
Q. What player pathways will be available to City SC East County players?
A. Players will have access to the full City SC Player Pathway, including:
- MLS NEXT (boys) – City SC Carlsbad
- Girls Academy (GA) – City SC Carlsbad
- Local elite playing opportunities within East County as the club develops
- Invitation-based opportunities through the City Connect Identification Program, providing advanced training and competition exposure across the City SC network
This pathway supports players from grassroots to the highest levels of US youth soccer.
